Default access to battery in 1991 Diablo

I'm picking up a Diablo tomorrow. Do I need any special tools to access the battery in case I need to boost it? The delivery driver told me that when he picked it up from the dealer, the rear tire was off, some panel was off, and the charging cables were running into it.
Thanks in advance.

Yeah another Diablo owner! Get some pics as soon as possible! The battery is located in front of the drivers rear tire. You take off the wheel and the splash guard to access it, or just access the positive battery bus and a ground point in the engine bay. But no, you don't need any special tools.... Screwdriver.

Default Battery Terminals

That is where the battery is located, but you do not have to access it for charging or jump-starting. In the left front corner of the engine compartment is a thick metal plate running fore and aft with two large bolts and nuts running through it. The nuts and bolts are connected to the positive battery terminal. The plate itself is negatively grounded, or you can use any bare-metal engine or chassis part as a ground.

I have used that terminal recently and the charger was drawing about 10Amps then I decided to connect the charger directly to the battery and to my surprise it was drawing 18 Amps which shouldnt be the case as it is not being dissipated in the car electrical circuits!!
I feel the connection is not making 100 % contact i am not sure if others experinced the same ?
I am not sure if I am going to go ahead with this but I am thinking of moving the battery to the front as it is much easier to work on/replace . I beleive the Gallardo have the battery in front correct me if i am wrong . Do you think that is a good idea ?
