Hi guys
New to the forum as well as Lambos, so be gentle. I got myself a 96 VT 3 weeks ago and up to 2-3 days ago, I noticed a noise. I will described the noise as best as I could. So here goes...
When I engaged in 1st gear and start moving off, there is a noise at low speed/ revs which sounded very similar to the noise make by a fully lock steering wheel on a knackered universal joint if you know what I mean. You would not hear it that obvious on higher revs as it sychronises with the rev of the car. However, no such noise at any other gears. I had no problems engaging any gears at any time....well at the moment, and the gears are not jumping out of syn. So with my limited mechanical knowledge, it sort of rules out the drive/ prop shaft and clutch as I suppose I will hear the noise in every gear, not just 1st gear. Spoke to the garage I got it from, they reckon it might be one of the tooth in 1st that might be worn or had some rough edges and thus making the noise and reckons it might get better with driving as it will sort of smooth out the edges of the tooth.

.Does it make any sense to anyone. Advise desperately needed folks. Thank in advance.
