Hate to be the bearer of bad news..BUT I recently had the exact same issue WITH a 95 VT and a 97 as well..

BOTH cars had the same issue...faulty Computer, there is one compter for each side of the motor. One was good the other bad..

On the 95 we tried so many things as you, that by the time we did find it to be the computer, we had damaged coils and everything else...on the 97 we went straight to the computer and fixed it right off..

FYI I have a GOOD computer (one) left as I bought a full set for the cars...

Call if I can help OR call Steve at www.drivenexotics.com he can help as well...tell him I sent you and you can talk about the computer I have left over.

Injectors have been cleaned, bench tested etc and put back in the car. They came back fine though the connectors were very dirty. The problem is still there. I did find a loose stud when putting the fuel rail back on. The stud came completely out. Maybe this might be the problem as it was sucking air badly.
Thanks

Dear Lamborghinisti,

I don't quite understand about the stud....sucking air badly. If it was sucking air, wouldn't you get a very lean condition? ...more air than fuel ratio. You have too much fuel to air.

Roy makes a good point. But didn't you swap the computers? You still had the problem on the same bank...right?

I was thinking about your problem and I was wondering, when you swaped the coils, what about the ignition leads from the coils to the distributer cap? Swap the leads to the cap. I get the sence you're not getting spark.

Please let us know.

Hi
Problem solved.
New distibutor cap and rotor and correct firing order.
Info from over here in Australia gave me the wrong distributor cap sequence. One to six was fine but 7 to 12 wasn't happening.
After consulting a number of people on this site including Matt Gibbon,Chad Bourne and Roytoy and after reading other members help, it helped to me find this bloody problem which wasn't really a problem but just bad advice from dealerships.
Anyway thanks to the people on this site who helped enormously and thanks to Matt, Chad and Roytoy for allowing me to discuss this problem on the phone with them.
Kind regards.
