Default 03 Murcie Emmissions Problems

Anyone know the correct "drive cycle" to bring all of the o2 sensors back online? Seems as though the dealer that had my car had disconnected the battery, thus wiping out the memory of the computer and causing the car to cycle the sensors...has failed emmissions three times for not ready to read sensors on thr Evaporative Sensor, o2 Sensor, o2 Heater, and the Catalyst. I called a couple of places, all said the same thing, drive the car, don't turn it off, that should bring back online...I drove the car for about 4 hours, traffic, freeway, around town....put about 250 miles on it, drove straight to DEQ, failed...same 4 sensors showing not ready to read. Last suggestion I received was from DEQ and they said to try disconnecting the battery again, then doing the drive cycle...but if I don't do the cycle right, or in the correct sequence as they call it, may not do anything. If anyone has any ideas or has experienced the same issue, please let me know...I don't live close to a Lambo dealer, so kind of limits my ability for accurate diagnostics.

Thanks,
Kaoss

Have you considered giving the TECH your girlfriend for a half hour while YOU complete the "TEST" on their machine........it's worked for me in the past.......and since she did it for me, I am sure she will do it for you!!!!!

Call STEVE at MILANO 1-408-847-8732 he can set you straight.....

Did I mention I have this small problem "sharing" the finace'....now if she were just a girlfriend, she'd be at DEQ checking the equipment...I'll call Steve again, see what other options he has....first assessment was that just need to drive it...then of course, there was the "most of the ones I get to work on are in Cali"...so maybe I'm going on a road trip soon !!!

the obd 2 needs about 20-30 miles of driving stop and go and continous freeway driving, put 40 miles and have them hook it up to their scanner and see if all the monitors have been reset.

OK, this is beginning to get frustrating...today, I tired again...again the car failed...same four sensors...NOT READY TO READ....only this time, I tried the way everyone is telling me to try...I removed the rear tire, accessed the battery, disconnected the negative terminal for 10 minutes...re-installed everything, started the car, let it idle for 10 minutes (saw a similiar post indicating to do this part), then drove the car 20 minutes stop and go in traffic, 20 minutes on the freway at 65 mph...never turned the car off, drove straight to DEQ...same problem....FAILED.

I'm at a point now where I need to seriously consider my options to correct this problem...the car is still under warranty, but the closest Lambo Dealer is over 400 miles one way...any other suggestions here? I've tried 4 times now, followed all suggestions thus far, and racked up about 800 miles just trying to get the car registered here!

Kevin,

Why don'y you drive it to Lamborghini Bellevue (Seattle) about 175 miles from you. I know the tech there - good guys. They have the diagnostic equipment ready to go. Give them a call - the service manager is James Maddux 425-373-9222. The lambo tech is Josh.

For folks who have had more uptime with the Murcie - check out Lamborghini Vancouver (Weissach) - about 275 miles from. Stuart's the guy. 604-738-3911

Tell them you are with the Lamborghini Club (Northwest Chapter)

I'll give them a call...my concern is that I'll get it fixed at a shop/dealer, then drive the distance home, park it for the night, get up, and have the same problem all over again because I turned the car off or something like that. I found a number to call on the Lamborghini site that provided a number to call for emissions issues, I'm going to call them on Monday and see if I can get some answers...from there, I might see if I can get a local dealer authorized for just the emmissions repairs if needed....since the car is still under warranty and all, I need to get this fixed before my 2 years is up !!!

I'll also call Steve down at Milano and see if he can point me to some fixes I can do...past that, I'm coming to Bellevue for repairs !!!

Thanks again,

Kaoss

and the list goes on...today....ABS light came on and would not go off...this added with the wonderful beeping sound drawing your attention to the bright red light on the dash...yeah, I think my Murcie will be enroute to a nearby dealer for some warranty repairs...only hope it doesn't take months on end!!!

I'll be calling Bellevue in the morning to see when I can get the thing there and how long I'll be out my car...

Thanks !!
