I can't believe my dad overfilled my Gallardo with oil! When I left my parents house on my way back to LA and I noticed my exhaust started smoking like crazy! I immediately shut the car off and had it pushed back to my parents house. Good thing I noticed the problem right away as I was approaching the end of the street. It turns out that my dad overfilled my engine by a few quarts! I told him to let me do it when I get back to LA but he went ahead and overfilled it. There was a big mess of oil all over the bottom of the car and the car would no longer start! The next morning I pumped out the excessive amount of oil and brought it back up the normal level. I cleaned the bottom of the car and engine compartment and tried to start up the car again with no luck! It seems like the power just cuts off as I try to start the car. I tried jump starting the car with no luck! I don't think it has anything to do with the battery because my car started just fine until my dad overfilled the engine! It's hard to find a local Lambo tech here in northern ca. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with my car? I only driven it about 100 feet! What harm could it possibly do? Any help would be appreciated! Eric

Fear you are going to have to take the plugs out. Put a drop of petrol in each cylinder and turn it over for a minuite. This will blow out the oil and it will then run.

Used to do this on radial aircraft engines that had been overfilled !!

Don't know if you got your G running yet, What you need to check is if you over filled the oil, the oil probabily vented to the intakes and ther is a lot of oil in the throttle body, take
off the air intake and clean out all the oil.

You posted this a couple of weeks ago....i sent you an Private message on how to fix this. Did you read it? these guys are right. You overfilled your car with oil, causing oil to spill into the breather into the intake and filling up a cylinder or 2 with oil. Since oil doesn't compress, the engine basically will not crank. Remove all spark plugs and clean all cylinders on the left bank with brake cleaner and compressed air, remove your brake booster hose on the front end of the left intake manifold and drain your intake manifold of oil. drain your oil from the tank and refill it, taking care not to repeat history....doing this will get the car running and once you fire it up, you must let it run for several minutes until it stops smoking. Once it is running, get it into the shop. Where in Norcal are you?
