Default MSD Ignition for Diablo

Has anyone put an MSD Ignition on a Diablo yet? My car is hard to start and I know how good these MSD's Work, I need to really spin engine to start. Is this common? Thanks. Eric in NY

If you have a diablo, your inquiry probably belongs in the v12 tech, not the v10 tech.

However, to answer your question I know it has been done for the v12 Countach's, I imagine it's a similar setup depending on the year of your diablo. I'd start by checking the voltage of the alternator and battery before replacing parts more or less in a random fashion. Some people have had success going with a stronger battery like an Optima. The only thing you can do is exchanging the coils, there is no ignition unit for the diablo, it's not possible in an easy way.

BTW MSD = Multiple Spark Device because it fires multiple spark instead of one single at low rpm.

You know when you ask a question like this, if would REALLY help to know the year of the Diablo
Early Diablo have a distributor and two (2) coils. The later ones have coil on plug system.

Hey guy how you been?
In the US there is a drink called V8. One of their ads says something about drinking some other drink that did not do what you wanted and the ad says something like, "I really could have had a V8"
