Default Larini exhaust on my Gallardo

I just got a Larini exhaust installed on my Gallardo along with a complete sound system. While I really like the sound, it is really loud. I have been wondering whether I could stand it for an extended drive. The sound system is suffering too! Does anyone care to give me their longterm experience with the Larini?

I had Larini on my 04 for 3 years and they were great. Just traded it on 07 spyder and miss the nice sound. It was quiet at low RPM's but great sound as you go up in RPM's. Unless high speed listening to your sound system should not be a problem with Larini. I believe the 06 up uses a different Larini system. So you may want to see how it differs from the system I put on in 04
The stock 07 exhaust is very quiet until about 3500 RPM's then gets very load and harsh compared to Larini on my old 04. That louder stock exhaust is new on Gallardo starting 06. Hope this helps.

Do you think that there is any reason to put on an aftermarket exhaust system? More power?

I just got my 08 Spyder and the dealer will not install a Tubi or any other system on my car. He said that there is a problem with the engine light coming on and does not recommend it.

I can't comment on a newer one, but the 04 sounded pathetic. The dealer offer to replace the larini with a tubi at no charge. I think I will take him up on it.

Also I dont know if the Larini puts out the torque that the Tubi does, if you can dyno your car and see what the numbers are, I have done my with a Tubi...I like the Tubi though...here is what my Tubi sounds like on the dyno

Hi
I have heard that tubi is better too. Can't comment on other as I have a tubi. I believe the smart way to go is with what the people recommend on the forum.

Larini gone and Tubi installed. This did the trick. Sounds great, but not so obtrusive that you can't hear.

Were the cats removed on your larini and replaced with test pipes? That could be the reason it is so loud. There are different options available to make it louder and quieter.
