Hi,
I just spoke to a technician in Lamborghini and he told me that Gallardos from the year 04 with Chassis Nos from 000 until 500 in the end are known to have a lot of problems. These cars were only ment to be used for presentation in shops and testdrives and not to be sold to end-costumers. Unfortunatly I got one of those cars and have a LOT of troubles with it. Beside of the standard issues like clutch, oil-leaks, aircondition I seem to have several electrical problems with it, which include turning signals, radio/cd etc. Is there anyone else who has a car this similar Chassis No? all the best, Chris |

I have a different info (directly from the production line manager in 2004).
To promote the cars worldwide they produced very quickly about 1000 cars, about 500 of them were made in Italy and a same amount in Neckarsulm at Quattro GmbH. Some rumours say that the cars of Neckarsulm had a better quality, it was also said that you cannot find out from the VIN if it's an italian or german produced car. Ok, first part. Many of these cars had still issues like all new models have. Since they produced more than the market was able to absorb these 2004 models got cheaper and the factory reduced the building. Nowadays the cars are very reliable and the factory has it's books full with orders.

Your electrical problems could be the result of dirty/corroded ground wire connections found in the front area of the chassis. Remove your trunk lining and inspect the ground connections that bolt to the chassis on the left and right frame rails as well as the heavy gauge ground wire connection that leads from the vehicle's battery to the chassis. Remove them, clean them very well then install them taking care not to overtighten them.
