I got the Corsas fitted today to my Gallardo. I did 100 or so kms straight away but it is still too early to report what they are like. The dealer rang Lamborghini for recommended pressures and has set them at 32F and 29R. (For "prolonged use over 260kph" they recommend 44F/44R - now that would be some trip!)

The car now rides like a dream but doesn't feel too sharp at the helm. These pressures feel too low, but so far I'm underwhelmed. The G needs feel at the wheel more than it needs extra grip, and the Corsas (at these pressures) just seem grippier but with less steering feedback than the standard tyres at the 34F/34R I normally use. Steering is heavier and the car feels more "planted", but duller.

I know that Corsas are supposed to run lower pressures, but has anyone with experience with this tyre got any thoughts on the optimum pressure for street driving?

Note that you are now dealing with an R compound and so the normal rules are changed. The tires are designed to run around 29PSI WHEN HOT. What this normally means is setting them to around 23, doing a few laps and resetting the pressures. So you would need to make a few runs and take some readings to customize things to your 'street' driving. Starting at 26 or so for your street testing maybe reasonable.

I'd be questioning the 44/44 setting as those sound like standard (ie non R compound) rosso pressures.

Did you consider going up to 305/30 and 245/35 instead of stock ?
