Hi guys,
I would like to get your opinion on the reply I got directly from Lamborghini. Since I leave my Gallardo04 in the garage for around 3-4 weeks during my business travels, my aircondition stops to work everytime I am restarting the car after this period. The techguys from Lamborghini now tell me that everytime I get the car out of the garage again, I have to drive it on 3.500-4000 RPMs for 1 hour to get the aircondition restarted again!?! They claim its normal! Please let me know what you think about this. all the best, Chris |

This sounds very strange since it's for sure an Audi A/C, I never heard that in an Audi you have to do such nonsense...

Hi Chris:
I just returned from a drive in my Gallardo04 and I am having the same A/C problem you mentioned. I agree with Raymond that Lamborghini's advice sounds strange but did you try it or have you determined that there is a different problem with the system? Thanks, Stan |

Chris:
I tried running my car the way the Lamborghini tech suggested to you and it worked for me. After about 1/2 hour very cold air started to come from the vents. This is the first time in three years I've had an A/C problem so I am not sure how long it will last - hopefully through the summer. Thanks for the information, Stan |

I've had several late model Mercedes, and it works the same way in their cars. Its very strange, but true. According to MB, the A/C computer does this to protect the compressor from being damaged (since it hasn't been used for so long). I found that the longer it wasn't used, the longer it took to turn back on.
HOPE THIS HELPS... |

Audis are pretty unreliable. It's a pity they're using their materials on Lamborghinis. But, I guess it's still better than Ford. They used Mondeo plastics on the Vanquish models.
