This statement is ridiculous. I own an Audi and a Ford of the same vintage and have had twice as many problems with the Ford, but I know that Ford produces millions of vehicles per year. To make a statement that Fords are unreliable would be an overgeneralization and would make me look like an idiot.

The climate control system does not operate the way that these people are describing it to. The reason your Gallardo air conditioner does not blow cold air is because it is low on freon, a very very common problem on all gallardos, let alone the early models. There is nothing fancy about the climate control systems in these cars, trust me. With certain models the A/C will not kick on until 2,000 rpm is reached. Other than that, they are designed to respond to your commands like everything else and if they don't blow cold at all or take a while to blow cold then have it checked out.

Yes I agree, Buy Audi as most of these parts are Audi and much cheaper. I was just working on my AC, had a leaking hose inside the tunnel, (noticed the green colored oil leaking out) and replaced and recharged the system, works fine, no waiting for anything. As was suggested, check the freon levels and for a leaking hose like mine..
