The repair most dealers perform is to remove the tubes, blow out water/contaminants with compressed air and reinstall them.

Do you know where these tubes are located at?

Yes. They attach to two black square sensors located between and beneath the throttle bodies. Look in this area and you will see that these two sensors have gray connectors plugged into them. The tubes connect to the bottoms of these sensors and go out to each catalytic convertor. In order to access them and perform a cleaning, the intake airbox must be removed. Even still, it is not that easy.

I never had any issue with my first 06 G but my 08 G had the check engine light after ~200 miles (I would say under normal conditions). I took it to the dealer and they said they are going to replace some sensor (mentioned in the previous emails) which is on order so they just reset the warning lights. My first warning was only bank 1-5 warning but yesterday at ~2000 miles I had both banks in error. I called the dealer and I am scheduled to bring the car in soon for a quick check.
One interesting is that I have been complaining about to my dealer is the lack of power (compared for my first standard 06 G). I am not sure if this is something relating to this warning light or perhaps not familiar enough the new e-Grear.

Wow - exceeding 5000 rpm cold - for shame. My cars never see over 2-3000rpm until oil temps are at least 130 deg F, and IMO it is abusive to rev a cold engine.

hi
I had this problem to, and it is a very well known problem, unfortunately, it is not alway the same issue causing this warings.

In my case there where 2 issues, the first was a temperature related one, caused by a broken tank filter trigger/switch. The filter / trigger is measuring and filtering the air (gases) from your fuel tak, back into the atmosphaere.

The second one, was a wather problem on the sparks, after raining or whasing, so the used some kind of special grease on the spark sealing and that was it.

hope it helps, rgds, erik

I recently had a similar warning light come on today. After connecting the the ODB port, I was met with the following error codes.

P0227: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "C" Circuit Low (Low Input Throttle position signal, fault activation range >81 degrees.

P1226: Throttle malfunction detected by ECU Bank 2

I believe the error reading was a fluke because the car been running great, kept in a garage with Air Conditioning and I happen to inadvertantly hit the gas while the car was starting up..

I hope this helps.
I reset the ECU and the car ran fine with no more errors.
