I am on my second Gallardo now the first one I bought new from Lamborghini Birmingham was a Nera which was new in Feb 07 from the day I bought the car the EOBD engine bank 1-5 and 6-10 malfunction warning light came up. The car was back at the dealership more than in my garage this problem. I eventual changed the car on 1st March 08 for a new Superleggera and after 200 miles guess what same problem. Dealership on the old car was unable so resolve the problem. I have now just blown £170K on the new car to have the same problem. Any ideas Guys as the dealership are clueless |

I have the same problem with a superleggera that has now done 1000 miles only mine is now down on power even though the dealer got the lights to go out. Seems we have a major problem.

I have owned an 06 Spyder and now an 07 Spyder. Both cars would display this warning fairly often. I found that the warning is usually triggered by exceeding 5-6000 r/min when the engine is still cold. If I keep the revs low for the first few kilometres after starting from cold, I dont ever have the problem. I found that performamce was never adversely affected by the warning light being on. Hope this helps.

I have had the warning light go off without going to the dealer. Having had the dealer involved twice and after several days of investigation plus communication with the factory I am now on my third thermostat and I believe new teperature sensors on each bank. So far the poblem seems to be resolved.

Are the dealerships or workshops informing you of the 4 digit codes causing these lights to turn on? These can turn on for more than a few reasons, especially since the LDAS systems are so damn sensitive. The most common codes to cause an OBD lamp to turn on relate to condensation buildup inside the misfire detection tubes. if condensation builds up inside these tubes, then exhaust pulses cannot reach the sensors which causes malfunction lights in even the newest of Gallardo's and Superleggera's regardless of miles or driving style. The repair most dealers perform is to remove the tubes, blow out water/contaminants with compressed air and reinstall them.
