Yes you are probably right. I was just hoping for answer that would help me out and his didn't. I still have no idea if this engine even requires a break-in period. You have to wonder why it is not in the manual? Anyway I will call the dealer in California and ask the service department.

OK, I got it!

The service department at Orange County Lamborghini in California said that ALL engines are broken in at the factory on a dyno. There is no break-in period.

I am sure glad to hear that. Holding it down below 4K rpms for 1K or 2K miles would be torture, especially here because I drive all of 200 miles a month a the most.
