Default 430 gearbox..

I tested a 430 this week - quite a difference. The shift is silky smooth, but only because the clutch slips FOR-EVER. It was like driving a cheap rental, lots and lots of noise, and not much happening.

reversing and crawling was easy though, even if it sounded like I had a lawnmower behind me.

So, my thoughts are, still hate Ferarris, but love the shift on the 430 box...

S.

I second that thought. I have had the pleasure of driving both vehicles. the F430 shifts nicely. However it can not compare to the joy and excitement you get when you shift the Lambo, get pinned back in the seat and hear the intake trying to suck your head through the side window while screaming down the road. =)

The F430 hands down shifts incredible compared to the G . But the LP560 on the other hand shifts like butter just like the F430.

The LP560 seems to even shift a bit better than the F430. But that would be expected since it is Lambos newest technology. I have not been in a F430 Scuderia yet so I cant compare Ferraris latest and greatest compared to Lambos new top dog.

There are many different things that it could be. Do you have any local shops you could take it to?

The LP640 shift time is 0.4 sec, but I heard with the upcoming SV, their supposed to be cut in half to 0.2, same as a Nissan GTR. No word on a dual-clutch yet from Lambo, mabey they'll get one from Audi.

The Scuderia is 60ms thats only 0.06 seconds at its slowest point - not 0.6 but 0.06 now that is insane!

I havent seen any times on the LP560 but they say that shift speed has improved by 40% compared to the last G update.

Sorta same topic, although I'm not going to be trying to launch (at least not right now, and when i do, its definitely not going to be by trying to do some kind of weird clutch flutter on an e-gear :-)).
But i just bought an 08 coupe and am going to Vegas to pick it up tomorrow. When i test drove (diff car, but an 08 coupe still), the egear was a little more challenging that I had expected (welcome challenge in fact, i was scared it would be boring). like it didnt seem like you just keep your foot in the gas and pull on the paddle...there was some nuance in getting it go through a smooth shift, as there was getting the right style aggressive shift.
is there a writeup anywhere that talks through an e-gear tutorial?
TIA
