My 2005 model e-gear made this clonking noise from day one, from the front. I mentioned this to my dealer (only 2 in the UK!) when I had the software upgrade a week after collection. That was 5 months ago. I was told this was normal for a Gallardo, to do with the suspension geometry. All other Gallardo's I've driven have been on a race track so I haven't been able to confirm this, including manuals by the way. We do have particularly poor road surfaces in the UK so it does happen occasionally at low speed and I just live with it. My advice is talk to the dealer but don't worry too much. The shunting is a consequence of 4 wheel drive, 500 horsepower and no foot clutch. I've done 4000 miles in 5 months, which, given how fiddly our little country is, is a lot of miles, nearly all on twisty roads in Wales and Scotland. This is all a small trade-off for an otherwise brilliant gearbox.

Ross. I went down to Lambo Wycombe yesterday for an oil top-up (a 100 mile sprint down from my place). I mentioned the front end clunk in conversation and Sam didn't bat an eyelid, just said it was to do with the front anti-roll bar, and carried on with the oil check. That pretty much backs up what I was told at Lambo Manchester.
Incidentally, Lamborghini Wycombe looked after me really well. They dropped what they were doing to check and top up the oil (only a litre needed), and then plugged the laptop in to check the vehicle systems were behaving themselves (fuel injection and engine management).
Top guys!

Mikey,

Had the car checked by LLondon, there Italian tech listened then put it on a ramp.
He found grease leaking from front wishbones, track rod ends and play in the right front upright. The rear anit roll bar was also loose and needs new bushes!
The shunt is in the gear box which he said some are good and some bad. He is going to tell Lambo and see what they say.

I will be pushing for new gear box!!

I wasnt going mad after all. 3 months old!!! I hope they sort it quick.
