Hi guys,

Can anyone give me some details about Chiptuning on a Gallardo? I heard there are several professional companies like Hamann which can upgrade the engine controller and give you the same power like on the Gallardo SE versions (is supposed to be anyhow exactly the same engine?!?).

Did anyone had any experiences with that and can report advantages, risks or problems?

Is it a chip tune or is it a programmable ecu like on Motorcycles (Powercommander with custom maps)? Can you get a Power-commander type electronics box and then have a custom map made off of a dyno? I guess it would have to be a 4-wheel dyno for my '05 Gallardo.
