My '04 Gallardo has just started making a low level beep when I shift gears. I've been trying to tell what I'm doing when it happens and all I can say is that it happens when I'm shifting and it doesn't matter if it's up or down(e-gear). There are no alarms or lights in the dash and all the gauges look normal and it drives normal. I am going to take it into the dealer but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I did notice that the coolant tank(I think that is what it is called) seems to be empty. The manual said this is filled for life from the factory but it could empty out from overheating or if there was a leak. Obviously I am worried about that. Any ideas?

It's definitely a beeping. It's weird because it doesn't happen all the time.....I'll see what i can find on what you suggested. Any other ideas? I am really wondering if anyone knows why this 'beeping' would be coming from the engine(or least from the back of the car) and what kind of alarms(if anyone knows) would be doing this.
