Audi / Lamborghini Gallardo side mirror internals

Does anybody out there know if the internal mechanism of the Gallardo side mirrors is the same as in some other Audi (or other) cars. I need to get two used ones, Lamborghini will only sell the whole mirror assembly at over $1000 each!

What happened to that very clever "fix" you made/posted last February ?

Rampante, that is what I am still using. It is way stronger than the Audi setup. However if/when I sell the car I may want to put back the OEM setup since some people may like to have the flip-up parking capability.

That's why I don't use that feature; I think it's probably overused by most owners, as a "toy".

I m sure everything come from Audi or VW group...
