You can drive the car at 40 degrees C outside but if there is a problem with midfire which overheats the cats it can turn into a nightmare.
In Italy where they test the cars it's often between 35-45 degrees in summer time.

If it is a well maintained car you can drive it anytime. Just ask Roy, he has driven his cars in snow, rain, the desert you name it. These cars are testy at times and you will have issues in the future as well but you will learn to love them. Once fixed, just drive it and enjoy it.

Default 06' SE cat fire service records

Research of service records indicates at 7211 mi. the 1-5 light has come on once. Plese check and advise. Cause: secondary air injection system-insufficient flow-replace connector at secondary air injection. All covered under warranty.
I don't know much about this car and am hoping you all might have some input... As for photos, go here http://www.ecacp.com/inventory/produ...ls.aspx?id=104
Thanks!

I drive my '06 spyder in hot & humid Florida, I've gone from 69 miles to about 4000 miles on the odometer since last October and have never had an issue, even on the hottest of days (96+). Well I had an issue on the really hot days... I wasn't able to drive with the top down. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience, it's not the norm and hopefully things will be repaired to your satisfaction and you can begin enjoying what is a fine vehicle most of the time.

Oh wow that car looked real good, Pearl White is one of the best colors IMO. Good luck with getting it restored.

That is NOT the norm at all. I have driven my cars in the most severe weathers, including pushing it over 150 MPH in Death Valley last year...no issues...

I am sure they will take real good care of you and get you back on the road in no time.

The one thing I will add is you should NEVER over fill these cars, you know click click click the fuel house for the last drop...and they should not be filled in the high heat day time, espically if they are near empty...this is NOT good for the fuel system, not only on these cars but all closed fuel systems with cats....causes for un burned fuel vapors to escape through the exhaust system and mis fires...

I never run my FI cars under a 1/8th of tank, and when ever possible always fill up when the temps are cooler, early evening...or early AM.
