Whilst not the best colour combination, here is an early car for sale in Scotland (at a bargain price) that has had both bumpers colour matched.

Detour_Racing, have you checked out the jalpa registry on Raymonds site? There are 13 cars in the registry that have colour matched bumpers(excluding black cars) including 2 in yellow.

I am back at it. I took the front bumper off. I found some interesting work to say the least. It looks like a 5 year old did the fiberglass repair.

Thank you I appreciate the compliment! I agree, this site is about helping each other and experiencing the cars. I feel other sites miss that point. They might have high post counts but they do not come close when it comes to content. A 4 year olds insults do not count as content.

If there are any areas of the jalpa that you guys need help with please let me know and I will try and figure it out for you. More to come.....

Yes I would agree, this is excellent. I like how you are putting the words with the pictures, Ab (silvergts1998) does this and it does take time, but it makes it much easier for the next guy.

Update. I have all the flames sanded off and have rough sanded the entire car with 220 grit dry. I then followed up by wet block sanding the entire car with the pattern described. I have completed the 220 and 320 wet sanding. It will take me another week to finish with the 400 and 600. I should be ready to prime in about 2 weeks. I have to get all the dust cleaned up....

Side note: all jams have been sanded as well. I am going to remove the door handles as well. I will actually be removing the doors, trunk and both bonnets to prime and paint. I will keep you updated.

Today I tackled the repair of the front air dam. The previous owner must have brought the car to 5th grade shop class to have it repaired the first time. I was able to "gently" pry out the "repair" with a screw driver.

This time the surface was properly prepared and repair with "real" fiberglass. I should have it completed by the end of the weekend. Hope the images help.
