Default Replaced Jalpa Air Filter Intake Hoses

Replaced my old air intake hoses that had plenty cuts and holes with one from the local auto parts place. Called "Replace-it intake hose" part #708-049 $18.00 and cut it in half for two pieces.
Cheap fix and looks great.

Good replacement, I took a 100mm diameter air hose from a local supplier with cevlar and ss inserts.

BTW, I think the buterfly valve closing the intake you could remove, this was done for the gas emission test when the car is parked. They (still) make a test with a stationary car sat in a room for 24h and test how much gas the car evaporates (limit for emissions), in nowadays use this is for nothing but messing up the engine bay.

Also think of replacing these old bad plug wires, you can use the MSD 31199 set, to repplace the ignition box with a permatune unit would also improve drivability:

If you still have the old UFI A-204 Filter think of replacing it with a suitable K&N E-1420: http://www.jalpa.ch/Problems/index.html

Raymond,

saw the great pics and just 'had' to ask - do you happen to know if the K&N filter will also work in P250s w/ the central airbox feeding the two boxes over the carbs?

Thanks!!

If you have also the UFI A-204 air filter then yes.
K&N has a wide range of these round filters, you have to find the suitable inner diameter and the correct height in their catalog.

According to Eurospares online parts directory. The Urraco P250, P250S, P300 and Jalpa all use the same air filter, which shows as Lamborghini part number:
001310375

So, I believe the K&N filter would work fine in your Urraco.

Thanks guys!!!

My P250 parts manual doesn't show the later central airbox. I know the central airbox part number on the later P250s differs from the P300/Jalpa central airbox so I expected the filters would as well. Nice to know they match :-) I'll have to take a look at the parts pics on Eurospares websites and see what else I find :-)

Best regards,

Bryan
