does anyone know ALL the differences between the euro spec Jalpas and the U.S. versions? what does the euro spec have/not have and does anyone have a euro spec Jalpa in the U.S. (what issues did you have, if any, when you were registering it in your state?). thanks for any replies....

Did all 86-88 models have the access door for the plugs?
Does the euro model sound and perform better? It seems most 83 Jalpas even in the USA have different more rounded airboxes with the one bolt on top of each carb...or does that mean it's just a Euro model? |

Yes all 86 and up had the access panel. Anytime there is not a converter the exhaust does sound a little better, IMO. And performance would slightly increase with less back pressure. The air box that you described is the euro version. The image below is the US airbox. |

...also, what about the '85? they seem to have the carb box covers but the screws are screwed onto the sides and not on top of the boxes - at least on the euro specs. did these versions also have the access panel? thanks...
