Default Jalpa carb service kits

Hi All

Greetings from the Middle East - where the weather is getting better and it's time to get the Jalpa out and on the road...

Or at least, I would if the carbs weren't sending raw fuel all the way down the cylinders and shooting it out of the exhausts, with no chance of ignition. The garage suspects something rotten, perished or broken in the carburettors and is proposing a strip down.

Does anyone have, or know where I can find, the appropriate service kit? According to the info I have the carbs are twin-barrel WEBER 42 DNCF models - are these the same throughout the model life? Mine is an early car

Many thanks

Robin

Hi Robin:

I've bought my Weber rebuild kits for my Jalpa from Pierce Manifolds. They have everything Weber! Great guys to deal with:

http://www.piercemanifolds.com/Repairkits.htm

The 42 DCNF kits are about 3/4 of the way down the list.

They also have exploded diagrams on their site which helps you identify parts. Here is one of the 44DCNF. Identical to our 42DCNF, with the exception of the larger throat.

Hi Mike

Many thanks for that.

I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Cheers

Robin

I just see there is a problem with a portion of the text hidden under the blue background of the pictures, will fix that soon.
