I finely got my mane bearings from Lamborghini that I’ve been waiting on for the past 10 weeks, But they made 1984 spec Jalpa bearings and not the 1983 spec bearings that I order, the 1982 and early 1983 Jalpa’s have a bigger Crankshaft. I hope It wont take 10 more weeks to get the right bearings. Soon as I get the right bearings, I'll let ever know when I start assembling the engine.

Default Where are you and how are you liking your shop?

It is looking like I need to do an engine rebuild. When running, my car has some low and high pitched pings, bangs and clunks. The timing chain has always rattled but these noises are new and coming from deep inside the engine. I am starting to scout for a good place to get a rebuild and try to figure out my budget.

It looks like you anodized the block as well. What is it? How's it going?

I’m having my Engine rebuild by Carl Soles at CHS Performance (804)-785-7807 he does very good work, but he is very slow. He does lots of big race engines so he is very slow during race season, But I thank the wait is worth it. Oh but CHS Performance doss not do engine remove. So you have to remove the engine, or have some one remove it.

The Engine was coated with a Seyitgur brand, Cast Blast so it won’t corrode.

How's the engine coming along Chris? I'm hoping mine will be done this month. Waiting on pistons.

Mines not going to well, the front main bearing is 0.001 to big, so the crankshaft needs to be tuned down by 0.001, so nothing has happened On my Jalpa. So I’m still waiting.

I hope you have better luck with your Jalpa then I've had.

How's the rebuild going? Mine can last all winter now that the salt is on the road. Evans got my heads and block back two weeks ago but they haven't been able to get to it. They've been trying to finish an awsome M12 Vector they've been working on for two years. They should ship it to the lucky owner next week. I'm not sure where I am in the line-up but I'm hoping to bring it home soon so I can play with the racing exhaust I have stored away. Give us an update.

Not to good, I cant get him to do anything. He keeps telling me he will have it done in two weeks. But If he doesn’t have it done by Christmas I'm going to just have to get it from him, and find another shop. Do you think Evans would wont to mess with one in the middle?
