While it may look like I used euro covers, that was not the case. Attaching the linkage required some thinking and what we noticed was that the US cam covers must have originally been euro cam covers to begin with as there are marks where the support for the linkage was cut and removed to install the US boxes. I made a decision (others may not wish to do this)to cut the support pieces from the boxes (Pics attached). We then welded the pieces exactly where the old marks were. The other options would be to try and find euro covers or fabricate. The total cost was $2,200. The parts were approx $500 and the labor $1,700. He told me that the labor would come down considerably if he did another Jalpa, as mine was his first. It was worth it as the car sounds and runs better than ever before. I plan to post a vid soon.

Pretty amazing,
This sight is great! I took my K&N Style filters off and am putting the Airboxes back on (Euro type for my euro engine)! I decided that I wanted the velocity stacks back on and I want to pull in the cooler air from the intake. Just goes to show the great diversification on this sight. ![]() You did an amazing job Lambotsavy. I believe Lambostuff still shows the original Euro cam covers are still available for any of you US types that want to convert yours. I can't remember the price but it's worth checking into.
