Default exhaust headers

I acquired these exhaust headers when I purchased my car. The Seller said that he got then from the previous owner in 1999, and he hadn't pulled the engine out to put them on. So now that I’m rebuilding the engine, I thought I would put them on, but they don’t fit, are they Urraco? or did some one do a bad job on making them?

Note the angles of the pipes at the head flange

Urraco P300 and Jalpa are the same, Urraco P200 and P250 are odd.
Seems they are for a P250, Blissinindy might be interested in those.

Hi Raymond!!

Thanks for thinking of me!! Yes, I would have been interested, but I just purchased a complete exhaust from a seller in the UK. On the other hand, I don't have the exhaust yet and communication w/ the seller has been very slow slow so maybe I shouldn't rule this out :-). Seriously, it does look like a P250 set. I wonder if Kim and 'Chelle would be interested? I'll ask a few folks I know w/ P250s and get them back in touch w/ Chris. Kim and 'Chelle might be interested ...

So Chris, how's the rebuild going otherwise? Pics of the car look nice, I really like the color!!

Regards,

Bryan

Thanks Bryan I appreciate you asking around for me. yeah I bought a Jalpa sales book last month form a guy in France and haven’t got it yet, and wonder if I will. My engine is going really slow, I’ve been waiting for over 8 weeks for JE to make some racing piston 10:1, I got them two week a ago but they where 0.100” to small, so I had to send them back. But I should get them back soon. I hope to have my car back running by mid to late November

Hi Chris!!

what all are you doing to your car ... engine and?? Love to see some pics and hear any details you'd like to share!!

I've spread the word about the headers to some P250 owners I know w/ a link back to this thread ... We'll see if anyone needs them

Regards,

Bryan

I’m having my engine balanced and blue printed, 10:1 JE piston, one peace stainless steels valves, MSD wires and coil, some one had all really put a MSD Ignition on it, I‘m look at putting some custom Cams on and I got a new racing clutch and pressure plate with 700 lbs more than stock to help what the extra hp I had my Radiator roded. All new gaskets and seals on the transmission and a new oil tube, some one had bent it in the past. I’m using Caterpillar bolts and nuts with oil phosphate so they wont rust, they make grad 10 bolt, and they have the little CAT stamp on the heads hehe. I had my shocks rebuilt with Koni insrrts. I replaced all door and window gasket except for the rear targa top/window gasket witch I’m still look for. I’ll post some pictures soon.

Hi Chris!!

Sounds like a fun project and like you're making good progress :-)

As long as we're talking sources, I'd be interested in your sources for the ss valves and the racing clutch. What are you planning for the cams? Those CAT bolts sound nice too, I'll have to look into them ...

Looking forward to pics!!

Bryan

I got all my Engine parts from Carl at CHS, he’s a friend of mine. He’s the one doing all the work on my engine, his number is (804)-785-7807.
