No idea of prices in USA as the GT was never an official imported model. I think a couple made it in as private imports but can only be driven on show and display plates!? I am sure someone will correct me if that's not right.

This is currently my favourite photo of the car.

The GT is just one amazing car. I was wondering though if anyone knows why there are so many for sale often while there were only 80 made?

This is also something I wonder about, not only for the GT of which I guess there are now close to 10 out of 80 for sale but also for the 6.0 SE (gold) of which 3 out of 20 are for sale as I'm aware off.
Also in the "regular" 6.0 is being offered in reasonable numers.
VT 5.7 is being "traded" in even bigger numbers.
Maybe a lot of people are upgrading to G or Murci ? Or maybe I should say downgrading

OK let me have a go at it.

A quick search in Europe gave:
http://www.theexclusivecar.com/adver...ource=homepage

Lamborghini of Stuttlgart has a black GT available

Mistral Motors Verona, Orange GT

GT 4 / 80 Yellow for sale, Betlem, Spain

Affolter Switzerland, yellow GT

Roks, Belgium, Black 2000 GT

Monaco, Silver GT 9000km

Singen Germany, Black GT
http://thecarexperience.com/ASS/92/GT.htm

Also last year I heard of a private seller in Switzerland, but no confirmation on that one.

Price range US$ 270.000 - 600.000

USA:
Maybe this one shouldn't count but of course Roy has 18/30 GTR on offer.

Did I miss any ??
I only did a quick on-line search in Europe so I guess there could be more in other parts of the world.
So then the question remains why a reasonable percentage of Diablo's is currently for sale.... Any thoughts ?

I think the GT #4 the Betlem car was for sale at Autodrome-Cannes before and the Stuttgart GT is the same car as the Singen GT. The car in Monaco might be the same car that was on Autoscout24.ch before. About the Affolter cars i would not trust there ads, some cars been on there list for years. But some GT,s as a matter of fact did sell, like the wonderful #43.

#4 is the yellow car used for the supertest of the german magazine Sport Auto and always belonged to Bob Forster aka Lamborghini Germany.de aka Lamborghini Stuttgart.

After double checking indeed there's some overlap.
BTW the Orange GT in Holland is advertised for both 295.000 and 450.000 euros.???
That's over 200K US$ difference in asking price.....
I agree with abunawafff that the aftermarket stuff doesn't do any good to the car either.
So lets say at least 5-6 GT's are for sale in Europe alone, still seems like a lot to me. But hey.. this availiblity at least will give wannebe owners the chance to buy and even choose colour

I recently purchased #74/80 Black from a Private collector hee in the USA. From my research there are 5 Diablo GT cars in the USA..

3 Yellow, 1 Orange, 1 Black

ONLY my Black and 1 Yellow one I have been able to verify have DOT papers and TRUE Titles and are licensed for the street. The others are here on SHOW car status and are not legal for everyday street driving.
