Correct, but compared with the normal Diablo...
You don't need the oil cooler there on road use, therefore it's only making troubles when planning a journey of more than one day...

So what about track days? That GT is booked for 2 already this year.
p.s. I also happen to know that the car is going on a 2 week trip to Italy and back, with 2 on board with luggage, so it can't be too bad. Last edited by scarecrow : 03-01-2007 at 11:29 AM. |

Even on trackday you don't need the oil radiator in front, the old location was good enough for us amateurs...
I know the owner of the GT from Berlin (dark blue scuro), they complained a lot about not being able to take luggage with them.

Quote:
For the road cars Lamborghini could have installed a fake hood placing the oil radiator at the original location and reserve the used luggage compartment for the 30 track cars only.

Just to let you know Raymond, Lambochick and I recently returned from a 10 day trip to the factory in Italy, and managed to take everything we needed with us.
For sure it needed some careful packing, and a definite weeding out of all things deemed unnecessary. Heck, I even managed to take a collapsable bucket with sponges, cloths, shampoo and polish to make sure the car always looked it's best. Don't be fooled by anyone that says you can't even enjoy a long weekend in a Lambo due to lack of luggage space. The GT is as short on luggage space as it's possible to be, but we had an enjoyable holiday and don't feel that we made too many compromises on what we managed to take with us. p.s. That bullet cam was normally attached to the outside of the car. |

I have the same problem from time to time with my GT...BUT there is room behind the seats AS well as a space behind the oil cooler...
MOST of the time I ship clothes and the like ahead VIA DHL to the various Hotels I will be at...real easy and cheap...fresh clothes waiting when I arrive. I also normally pack clothes I am done with and ready to part with....so at each stop for the nite...OLD clothes BYE BYE new clothes for the next day. On the RARE occasion that my clothes did not show up....I have one spare set in the car....and there is ALWAYS a WALMART around LOL LOL You would NOT BELIEVE the looks you get when you park your Lambo at the WALMART lot, walk in and shop...ALMOST worth the entire trips just for the looks I get!!
