Default Countach wanted

Hello all. Im new to this forum.
I am considering purchasing a Countach. I have been watching
some. They seem to be anywhere from $60,000 to 100,000.
I have been trying to read and educate myself on these cars.
Can anyone sum up what to look for and what to exspect.
I am a Mass. Dealer with full repair facilitys at my disposal.
I have always wanted one. Please help a "Lambo Lover"
spend his money wisely.

Thanks in Advance
Gerry

Default countach

Not sure i can help much but just look at as many as you can, on the whole these cars are pretty reliable, the engine isn,t over stressed and after this amount of years most electrical probs etc will have been sorted, just remember that they are now anything up to thirty years old and like a bit of t.l.c but also prefer to be driven that sitting around, keep the front tyres at the right pressure and the lack of power steering isn,t too bad and the clutch on mine has never been heavy, the only problems i,ve had have been the release bearing go which meant engine out and i put in a new clutch at the same time and replaced all seals etc and believe it or not the parts were pretty cheap and the whole lot cost a lot less than you would think..i,m selling mine now but i have to say it is the most fun car you can own for so many reasons...all i can say is buy the best you can and enjoy it...i have...

Hi Gerry, Welcome Aboard!

It will help you to study up on the Countach some. There are quite a few variants of the model line. Some like early the best, others later versions. With wing, without, side skirts or not, US bumpers or Euro, etc, etc.

You can get a brief outline of the variants here:

Basic Specs
