I got the pictures directly from the owner, of course a ten years stored car needs an engine out service. In the end a driven $30K might be a better choice but many buy these cars to have some hobby tasks.

for the record guys i emailed this guy at 2 of the 3 different email addresses so far with no luck. the emails keep bouncing. i was contacted privately by someone on VLG and told about the car before it became "public".

i am NOT saying anything bad about the seller, but i sure as hell would rather post a cell number AND a good email address if i wanted to sell a project like this.

my 308 ad on ebay has my cell number, for the purpose of minimizing all the typing ! i think $15k is about all the car is worth. Gary Shaw and his lovely wife spent over $19k just on the engine on their jalpa that i bought from them, and the car still needed to be sorted out just to be driven around the block.

beater Lamborghini's with rare parts are not like fixing a beat up Camaro, or mass produced Ferrari 308.

edit... i found another version of the ad for the car yesterday with yet another email address and a nice interior shot. now i cannot find the ads through Google.

From that email address I got the pictures and that's also the one he used on the VLG... if the seller responds is a second thing...

Ouch, that indicates a broken valve which would mean a huge bill... or does he simply want to say valve adjustment?

yes, i noticed that. i doubt the valve adjustment and timing chain re tension will fix that!

be a shame to see the car parted out cheap, but $17k is a bit much, in my opinion.

If you can get him it's still a good deal. Remember the red one on ebay about 6 months ago? It sold for 20k with a blown engine. I don't like the part in his add about a deposit can hold this car. So many scams, who knows?
