Thanks for pointing it out....you are right. I did post ALL info previously...........it DID come off the truck when it was delivered to my DETAILER..thats why I posted it was not "their" fault..........the car WAS going to them to get front paint for road rash.........and we ended up with this............I hope your "serious" buyer finds what he is looking for.....but I HAVE no shame in selling this car............and YOU ARE WRONG about "MISREPRESENTING" on E-Bay..........I do not say anywhere that it has NEVER been the body shop..............I say "IT IS IN TIP TOP SHAPE".........which IT WILL be after it leaves Milano!!!!!!!

Graig has ANY of your cars ever sustained damage and been repaired at a body shop? Are you going to go back and call whoever bought that car and tell them?...........If not your "Misrepresented" YOURSELF!!!

Yes this is a small community, yes a reputation is worth everything, yes I think I have a good one and DO NOT want to loose it.........thats exactly why "I POSTED THE EARLIER INCIDENT TO THE CAR"!!!!!! It has ALWAYS been ouyt there. But dont worry, you DON'T need to buy this car.

No offense takin......great to have input on all sides.......but I think YOU ARE NOW "misrepresenting" yourself by posting rumors and "WHISPERS" of another incident!. If that is out there, step up and state from who and where......I will do a face off with them any time.

But this is exactly how "WHISPERS" start.........a person with NO first hand knowledge posts a statement that they have no foundation for.......... thanks for starting this one and helping me sell the car..........I am sure I can return the favor one day.............

People can say whatever they want. We all know that Uncle Roy is a GREAT guy. Don't sweat it Roy you are still family to all of us. People that bash or, should I say, try to bash are Jealous. If I had the money I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I know that every one of your cars is better cared for then most peoples children!

Roy;
I mean you no disrespect...I hope that part is clear. I think I've done a fair job of being PC from board to board and I'd like that to continue because frankly, I have little interest in becoming partisan...I just want to love my Diablo as much as you all love your Lambos.

As I said before, my post had one main motive: to point out the fact that the damage had not been disclosed on the Ebay ad which is as follows:
Vehicle Description

"2001 Diablo, PEARL YELLOW...black interior with Yellow stitching. Car is in tip top shape, currently located at MILANO IMPORTS in Gilroy, CA getting Oil change......major service....wheel balance and alignment......can see at this location. Car available within 2 weeks.

This car comes equipped with TONS OF EXTRAS!!!!!!!...... tinted windows, rear view color camera, built in FRONT and REAR K-40 radar AND JAMMER for the new LASER guns, after market 10K stereo, subs, 2 amps, factory alarm, NEW P-Zero tires.less that 3k on them, after market MILANO imports exhaust with stock tips (6K), MILANO imports after market carbon Clutch....less than 5 K on it..........I am the 3rd owner.....This car FLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUPER CLEAN CAR FAX..CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you buy, and you dont like at delivery.I BUY IT BACK 100% Guarantee!!

I have to say bye bye to this one as my new roadster is on the way......I am keeping my other Diablo, a 2001 6.0 SE in the Metallic Brown."

This is a great ad, but with all due respect, where in this ad is the damage disclosed? Not saying in the ad that it has never been in the body shop is different than stating that it has...however, all of us would happily give you the benefit of the doubt and willingly believe that you'd disclose the damage in any phone communication you'd have with a potential buyer and to your credit, my friend did have such a discussion with you by phone.

I cannot speak to your suggestion that I may have not represented damage to any car I've owned/sold in the past...out of 43 cars owned, only one was ever damaged and yes, that was disclosed in the ad, so I guess I'm not the best person with which to compare Ebay ads.

To the gentleman's point about scammers, liars and cheats: this is my second Lambo and thus far, I have not had a bad experience with anyone in either the L-Talk or L-Power community...but keep in mind I've only had direct business dealings with a couple of folks and with the exception of FVM, my business transactions have all been good (to the credit of the Lambo community as a whole). My motto: give everyone a fair chance...IF they screw you, they go down in flames, otherwise, they're all A number 1 in my book until proven otherwise.

My point about the whispers were just to prompt a potential buyer to ask the right questions.

I have no doubt that you have a good reputation in circles and that you cherish that reputation. I totally understand the rivalry between L-Talk and L-Power folks...I'd like to think that I have friends on both sides.

With that said, I hope you'll kindly accept a piece of friendly advice in that your Ebay ad should be more reflective of your seemingly genuine concern to protect your rep....I know I would.

Of course, in the grand scheme of things, since I'm not currently shopping for a Diablo, it's not really any of my business.

I hope my sincerity and respect comes through in my posts...I really don't want to do anything to further fuel anymosities between boards, so I'll step back now. Thank you all for your respectful comments....

I am well aware of the rivalries and anymosity and do not care to engage or take sides in this ongoing dispute.

Blood has been drawn on both sides, as far as I can tell...but since no member from either board has ever done anything against me personally, wouldn't I be foolish to judge someone without having met them or without having a first hand experience?

Thus far, the only person who has done anything questionable (that I've wintessed) has been Roy in his Ebay ad. I don't think the best response to is to rehash year old debates in attempt to switch focus from this thread and this topic....if Allan had such an Ebay ad, I'm sure plenty of people would be bringing that matter to light.

I'm not as naive as you may think...take a moment and google search my name...I've been in the automotive world for 23 years, owned 43 cars, been a paid advisor on several motion pictures and have been a published author in more than two dozen automotive titles (I currently write for a magazine focusing on Exotics). I've worked inside of the biggest automotive aftermarket companies around such as Meguiar's, NGK, Petersen Publishing, Eibach Springs & MagnaFlow. If nothing else, I'd bet that my experience in buying/selling 43 cars makes me more qualified to "sniff out" questionable practices.

I have no allegiance, loyalties or preconceived notions about anyone....I judge a person solely on his/her actions/merits.

If you want to defend your colleague, kudos for you loyalty, I'm sure Roy has earned it.

But I find it further discrediting that a site administrator would stoop to name calling when my posts have been nothing but respectful.

Craig, you have made your point. However, do you think it is seriously worth going over and over about such a minor issue. I agree with you if the car was totaled and burnt to a crisp I would want to know. But if someone backed into a garbage can or mailbox and did minor damage I wouldn't care as long as it was fixed properly. It would be totally different if he was saying that the car is perfect and then when it was shipped to you it looked like it just came out of a crusher. So if you have no interest in buying Roys car, which you have made clear, don't worry about it. I have never heard of a person offering a 100% money back guarantee on any used car, that speaks volumes of Roy and who he is. Let's all stop slinging mud and start talking cars.

Did you follow the link Craig?????????? Is this the actions and merits that you respect and defend!!!????? And that's just a tiny sample of the BS coming from "other sites" as you are well aware!!!

And like Detour states, you made your point and no one agrees with you!

I own 5 cars and couldn't tell you if any of them were pranged before I owned them, and frankly, since they look fine I don't care!

Now take your actions and merits and move along if you don't mind.

JRV: As an observer to this posts and a member of L-Talk, it is my judgement
that you diminish yourself personally and your credibility also when you make these kind of posts.

Craig,

if you aren't aware of the bias that LameOpower has agaisnt anyone that doesn't kiss ellenlambos ass, then you are either nieve or an idiot, or an ass licking dick suker( excuse my french!!)?!?!?!!?!

I personally believe that an ad for a car that has had significant damage should have that information disclosed at the time the ad is placed especially in an auction format. In the aviation industry ads for used aircraft always include the statement "No Damage History" unless there has been damage. Buyers want that information up front. If a seller chooses not to do that then obviously that is his perogative.

Speed2,

Along with others in the Lambo Community recently I personally have been under relentless false attacks and attempts at Character Asasination for a long time now....I wasn't really mad until Craig wrote about the whispers!!!

Roy had already posted ALL the info about the car because of his honesty and forthrightness to US, the Lambo Comminity...and then to see this honesty turned around and spun as some type of bad dealings is not only very low, but unacceptable.

Trying to denegrate and Character Asasinate people based on rumour and inuendo is a very insidious internet practice that is not welcome here.

If someone has direct facts fine, but the practice of denegrating others just becase one has internet access and a keyboard will not escape my attention and will be considered NOT part of what This Community is all about!

Let me finish by saying this. Each one of you try to put yourself in Roy's shoes...suppose one day you want to sell your Lambo..for whatever reason...

Along comes someone who says, I heard your car went off a Cliff!?!!?!

Just suppose that question is unfounded....???

Who here would be happy about such unfounded stories being attached to their car?????????????????????????

Yea sure, as long as the false accusations are pointed at "other People" there is no pain!!! but what happens when these bashers point the finger at YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
