Neither actually. It's a custom-made replica of the original lamborghini factory sports exhaust that was an option for new Countaches of the time. It was provided by Carrera Sport who support it with the lifetime warranty. I can confirm that it sounds ABSOLUTELY INSANE.

I can imagine that carrera uses the quicksilver... I see no need for them to produce an own one, the sport exhaust you're reffering to is just the 4 silencer Ansa.

yes the LP400s had the square muffler, much smaller as the one of the later LP5000s and QV.
Also the square muffler was produced by Ansa, but the Ansa Sport exhaust ist just the 4 muffler setup, this was available from the LP400 to the 25th as Sport exhaust.

Actually, having spoken to Carrera Sport again, I can confirm it is built by them and is neither a Larini nor a Quicksilver.

The Countach is now up on Auto Trader UK.

This car is still up for sale and now has brand new Tax and MOT along with a full year's tracker subscription.

Price is £46,950 but I can be flexible regarding sensible offers.
