Default Race Track in San Francisco Area

Anyone know of any track that will be willing to let me open-up my Diablo for a few laps in the San Francisco bay / Northrern California area.

Why not Laguna Seca in Monterey? It's about 2 hours south of S.F....just check when a Bimmer or Porsche Club is using the track and just show up, I bet they will let you on with them...I have done this many times at different tracks (plus paying the daily fee..usually less than $100).

They do Wednesday night drags at Infineon. I've watched, but never participated.

Here's Laguna Secas rental rates - not bad if a group of guys go:

I've never been to Thunder Hill, but between Laguna Seca and Infineon, I'd go for Laguna Seca.

Default Track Days..

Check this site for track days they often do buttonwillow, laguna seca, and willlow springs....www.tracquest.com the format is ok, if you don't have any experience on a big track they will make you ride with an instructor for awhile, which is probably a good thing anyway.....

If you wanted to rent a track for a small group, even midweek for a better rate - about $3800, count me in - I have done that at willow springs with a small group of about 18 buddies and it was a blast - except for a helmet there were not rigid rules and totally open passing.

Alex
