That's very good news !

On the French side, I'm almost sure I'll be the only one coming for the whole week, from the Lamborghini Club of France. But several members will come for the two last days.

Thumbs down

Very very very disappointed about the organisation of the L50 event.

posted few times here, and 2 other websites like pistonheads.

Contacted a lamborghini club too, they transport the cars with a trailer to italy. Not any organization from lamborghini to contact owners.

I am 'glad' not joining the event. As for the price of 5500 euros for 2 persons, i expect some interest of lamborghini to give everyone a chance to participate or at least to come with a platform to bring owners together. I am an owner and am planning a 2nd Lamborghini before the end of the year. Not to neglect. When I owned only a 1992 (!) SL600 7 years ago I received frequently updates from Mercedes, even without being in a Mercedes garage in the country where I just emigrated to. So, Mercedes recoqnises the importance of customer care very well while Lamborghini doesn't. And I understand it, most of the cars seem to be shipped to Asia, Dubai etc. nowadays instead of Europe/US. Sales is going very well. No need to invest in old owners. Although an unneglectible part of us, old school, are still potential buyers.

Just a bloody bloody shame

Not too sure about that comment, as there was a lot of information available online at the Lamborghini50 website and, when I did have questions, Lamborghini answered my emails promptly.

Transport to and from the event, or even convoys out are being organised by franchised dealers too, if required, and the pre-event checks have to go through them so I always kept them in the loop and so far so good.

Well I am sorry, I dont want to spoil the topic. The event is a once in a lifetime event. Thats for sure. But getting not a single response when proposing to drive together on the highway, I can't imagine noone would be interested. it is just that not every owners reads on forums. I know a few guys that never write or read on forums, they DRIVE. And despite there was indeed enough information about the event itself on the L50 website, nobody cared for bringing owners together. I am sure, a caravan of ~ 30 Lamborghinis on the Euro highways to the event would be an event on itself also. But its too late now.

But that was not Lamborghini's fault that no one responded to forums. More like the dealers dropped the ball in Europe they should have taken care of their clients.

Are you coming? First bottle of wine on me if you are.

I certainly know of one UK dealer that is putting together a drive down, however until the actual main event was confirmed and booked they were not going to start making arrangements.

It is a bit of a chicken and egg situation - you needed to book for the main event and then look at how you get to & from Italy.

Here in France, the official Lamborghini dealers don't care at all about people who have pre-Audi cars. They even refuse Diablos and older cars for service, and that's probably a good thing because the mechanics there wouldn't know what to do.

So apart from the guys who have Gallardos and Murcielagos, French dealers are not at all involved in the event...

That's a real shame!

Part of the fun of visiting my local Service agent is looking over whatever Miura, Countach, LM002, Jarama, Silhouette, Jalpa, Diablo, etc. that may be in at the time
