I was told that putting 20 inch wheels on a Gallardo will shorten the life of the clutch. Assuming that lower profile tires are used to maintain the same overall tire circumference, I can't seem to figure out why the clutch would be effected. Is this true? Are there any other problems with running 20s?

I for one do not put aftermarket wheels on a performance car. After all they spent a crap load of money to get them right...I know of NO after market wheel that will stand up to the rating of the factory tire.
As a matter of fact LAMBORGHINI does void your warranty for replacing OEM wheels with after market ones. I knw it can cause issues with overheating of the VT drive, which in turn cause it to be defective at some point, NOT if but WHEN... I do not know about the clutch, other than maybe the additional weight of aftermarket wheels to get them turning and started rolling?? IMO stay with FACTORY correct wheels.
