On the track, I find that my 08 Gallardo Spyder with Pirelli P Zeros all around (originals) tends to push (understeer) quite a bit. Back end sticks real well.
I see that the Superleggera has Pirelli P Zero Corsa all around. Was thinking of putting those in front only to reduce the understeer. Also contempalting a wider size. Any experiences with this? Thanks Joe |

I like the idea of "upgrading" the tires of my 04 Gallardo. Originally, I had the P zero rossos, which I liked, but to pass inspection for Italiafest, my treads were marginal, so I had to buy new tires--with only days left, I could not get the Pirellis, and ended up being talked into the worst tires imaginable--Toyos , of the same size. They totally messed up the handling of the Gallardo--worst is when you do a quick left and right with no time in between, as in the kink in the Moroso home straight--with the Pirellis, there is just instant turning...with the toyos, there is a lag like you would get driving a long station wagon, with almost like an oscillation afterwards!!! One of my excuses for having Bernard run away from me :-)
I am now ready to shop for new tires again, and would consider the Corsas, but see that this increases the rear width ( which could be good), and that they are considered poor for driving in the rain...Has anybody driving these Corsas in the rain? My Toyos stink in rain, and I would not want worse from the Corsas. As I recall, the original Pirellies were pretty decent on rainy days in South Florida. I will have something new for my trip to the Smoky mountains in NC (for a couple weeks around Thanksgiving)..either the originals, or the Corsas--if I get good feedback. I want to do Tail of the Dragon, and several other roads in the area. Speaking of this, does anyone here know of a trailer I can rent for this trip? A friend has a race trailer, but last time I tried , the angle of attack was too severe for the Gallardo to get up without scraping severely. Thanks, Dan |

How well do the corsas work on the road if it is just slightly wet from some dew or light rain..as in driving in the Smokey mountains, would a wet patch be a problem, or would this be a superior tire for a place like this? Thanks, Dan |

Hi Dan,
Pzero corsas are more of a track tire, not recommended for extremely wet roads..... I imagine they would be ok for light rain, dew. I never had any problems with wet handling....but I have not pushed the car hard on wet surfaces either. Here is some info on the corsas.... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=PZero+Corsa Your trip sounds fantastic, have a great time! Bernard |

The Corsas were available at Tire Rack (about $400 each) when I checked a few weeks back. Also my dealer had some in stock since these are now standard on the Superleggera, but he wanted way more money for them.
