Default new to this forum & to lambo ,few questions plz

hi all ,i just purchased last week an brand new (0km) 04 gallardo , its manual ,silver on black ,i just love it! my previous car was an 04 modena, had a 430 on order, then had a fight with my dealer because he announced me 5 month delay . i went to the local lambo dealer ,had an excellent deal on this car , i took it. surprisingly ,i got with the gallardo much more than i expected ,the car is great! but i know very little about lambo ,i was more of a porsche and ferrari type. so i needyour help with some info :what are the weak points of the car ,what to do or not do ,is the clutch in the manual box reliable, what could be his expected life in km(normal everyday city driving ,no jump start) ; is there is reliabilty problems in the engine, tranny, electronics, gearbox, suspension ; the spare parts price, are they comparable to ferrari,or more expensive(clutch or brake pads for example) , has there been recalls ; can it cope with everyday driving ,or more of a week end car etc... any kind of info could be helpful , thanks in advance!
another thing ,when i took delivery, the car had 350 km, that were done test drives with potential customers ,now at 550km, the clutch is slipping ,called the dealer he told me he will replace it tomorow, should i ask for any info of the clutch to be installed?. i never jump start the car ,drive fast but without "breaking " the car .
also does anybody know the priceof the engine glass cover ,would love to install it if price is reasonable
thanks again

yeah, You can drive the G-Car much harder than the ferrari. I'd say, with my Modena, it was as worn at 2000 miles as my Gallardo was at 10000. Pretty Stats if you ask me.

The great thing about the Gallardo is that its built by audi and has an audi-like reliability. Unlike ferrari, its meant to be driven daily and parts/repairs are much cheaper as well. As far as the clutch, I would personally go with a stronger aftermarket unit. Another thing to look into is the exhaust. The stock unit is very heavy and restrictive.
Hope that helps,
Alex

Glass cover if I remember correctly is a $4000 option when buying a new one, but it's like $10,000 - 12,000 buying seperately.

Do some research on these forums, I read a post that a guy made his own. It looked better than the OEM stuff, and was waay cheaper, but the reliability was unknown. He had very little idea if it was gonna hold up to the temperatures of the engine bay.

Congrats on the new car! Lots of good advice already, switch out that tank exhaust, go easy on the throttle until it's warmed up, and if the CEL comes on & it starts running rough, shut it down! Throw some pictures up here, too!
