Default Major Coolant Leak LP640 Roadster

Just picked up my brand new LP640 Roadster today. When I got home, the car started smoking and all the coolant leaked out of the bottom (didn't overheat - turned it off right away). Gonna have it flat-bedded to Lambo tomorrow. Seems like a hose or clamp went totally bad. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences.

Sorry to hear about your little problem.
On my Diablo I had a leak do to a clamp not being tight on the hose. The funny thing was, it leaked when I was parked for 15 minutes, not while driving. At least for me, it was an easy fix.
Sounds like an easy problem to fix.

I would be curious to know what happened... what dealer are you taking it to?

That is an unfortunate first day, hopefully it isn't anything major.

Default Thank G-d

The idiots at Lamborghini-Miami forgot to tighten the coolant resevior cap when they checked the fluids during the PDI. All that happened was that when I switched off the car (after about 30 seconds) the coolant expanded and started flowing out of the loose cap (about gallon came out), and made a fricking mess. They were very embarresed, send a flat-bed to my house at 0800, pressure-tested the system for leaks, figured out their stupid mistake, toped off the coolant, TIGHTENED the cap, cleaned the engine area, and detailed the car.

I got my M back around 1600 and its running fine. THANK G-D. It's a pretty sick feeling watching a gallon of bright blue liquid flow out of the bottom of your 1 day old $400,000 super-car. I pretened to my wife that everything was fine and normal, but inside a was dying!!!
