Default Really Exotic..

Of course you could get really exotic and get yourself a TVR, something like an insane Sagaris..

I tried one a year or so ago, it was amazing. It drove better than my Porsche and was eyeball popping quick.

Bentley brought the prototype (1 of 2) to Miami for a private viewing for me and my business partner (we took the 2 our dealer had allocated). The car was gorgeous. Lookd super elegant, but also very powerful. As far as the interior is concerned, it was the most detailed finish I have ever seen. The was an Arnage Mulliner next to it in the showroon which looked poorly done compared to the Brooklands.

The new Esprit is supposed to compete directly with the F430 and Gallardo, priced around $130,000.00. It is supposed to be V8 powered either by a Toyota unit, or (which is the favored alternative) the old BMW M5 engine. Should be out in the next year or so, I can't wait to see it. I take it you are a big fan of Lotus?

EDIT RE: TVR

TVRs are supposed to be coming in late 2008. I personally cannot wait, IF it actually happens, I'm still waiting for their affairs to be more properly sorted out, THATS the news I'm looking for.

Smile Took Delivery

I picked up my LP640 Coupe. WOW!!! What a difference.

The Roadster was a good car - although quite impractical. The Coupe, while being much more practical, appears to be much tighter and more responsive. Also, I was having serious issues with the Roadster when the engine was cold (coolant & oil). It would cough and stall. I had to wait more than 5 minutes to pull out of my garage. This car is ready right away. I let her warm up while driving (below 4,000 RPM), but I don't need to wait around for 5 long minutes for the oil to warm up.

I just got back from a 50 mile run on the turnpike. Took her up to about 120 a couple of times and she was rock solid. By the way... it was raining - the Roadster would have stayed in the garage tonight.

I LOVE IT --- SHE'S RIGHT UP THERE WITH MY 599!!! Will post pictures of the entire collection soon.

Default Still hates being cold

My Roadster hated being cold and it turns out this one does also. This moring, after cooling off over night, she burped, coughed and sputtered until she reached temp. After that --- smooth as silk. Must be common to all 640s since both of mine acted the same..

Thats bad to hear. If you had previous supercars i'm sure you'd almost expect issues. It's amazing how far supercars have came and how high our expectations have came...

This isn't a bash, it's just amazing where supercars are where they are today.

TVR was recentley purchased by two americans who will start selling the cars in america in the near future.

Koenigsegg is partialy owned by Daniel Sadek who will be opening up a dealership in Newport Beach, CA

The US buyers only bought distribution rights, although the contract did contain a buy-out option at a later date.
