FUNNY, Lambo site is LP640 and Ferrari site is 599. I wonder why???? haha

Even though they admit the 640 is a sick car, most say the 599 is more practical and usable. They are correct, but sometimes you have to ride the bull. One day I may tame it.

I would rather push a Lambo up a hill than drive a Ferrari.

More practical and useable yes, but I don't think that should be the point. Really. If I want a backseat in my exotic, I might as well buy a Maserati Quattroporte.

I agree generally with the statements already made pointing to the 599 being less appealing stylewise. Each new F car, for me, sets a new low on the excitability meter. The LP makes my blood boil (in a good way ), and that exhiliaration turns to lust, which then turns to love. Even if it is "less practical", it is still gorgeous, sounds amazing, drives beautifully, is more reliable than ever (your 599 seems to be having issues ), and will be more rare than the 599. I've got a friend that owns 9 F cars, and he still lusts for a Lambo (though I'm confused as to why he hasn't purchased one yet )

I seem to be getting the 599 and 612 confused? See, proof positive that I don't even give a hoot about F cars.

My 612 had the A/C issue - now fixed. My 599 has never been to the shop. My LP has a couple of times for little issues.

How is the 599 more practical? The lambo has AWD.
At least 10% of my hatred of Ferrari is the fact that they AREN'T practical! while, due to whatever dementia, I find Lamborghini's to be highly practical.

Unfortunately I can't seem to muster up much passion for either of them. What a bummer.

I agree that the newer F cars are looking too much like other cars. Gone are jaw dropping designs and instant recognition. Saw a 430 the other day and had to study it real hard to tell if it wasn't a Corvette. Now, too much safety is designed in and compromises to the design create bland looking cars.

Sorry for the commentary, back to your favorite....

LP640. The 599 doesn't stun me. It's just another car on the road. Boring looks.

Daily Driver: 599 Hands down
Frequent Driver but not Daily: LP640 hands down

Reason being, Ferrari's have lost their exotic appeal. They look very expensive, but they are no longer low and wide and have lost that radical appeal I love. The LP640 on the other hand is as wide as an expedition, and looks like a pancake coming down the road. I can spot one coming towards me at night because no other car I see on the road, has such a low/wide stance.

Yeah,
megaquote.

I've always ADORED the 12 cylinders F-Car, 2 and 4 seats.
512BB, 400-412, Testarossas (TR,512 TR, 512M),the astonishing 550 and 575,the beautiful 456...
But honestly, the 599 doesn't excite me.

Great car, of course, but that's no question.

LP640 wins hands down. The bull is always the bull
