Default Help me pick a exhaust setup for my Gallardo

Guys,

I'm debating between a couple of brands of exhaust for my Gallardo. As we all know the exhaust system is far from being a cheap upgrade relative to other sports cars.

Here are the options I have set in my mind below. I am looking for a F1 type sound, high pitch not low rumble. Help me choose one. BTW, anyone know the HP gains from the varying brands?

1. Tubi (I heard this in a Ferrari 360 and it was awesome, but thats a Ferrari with a V8 so it might sound different in the Gallardo)

2. Larini (From video and sound clips it sounds pretty good).

3. LOC (I heard this in person, it has more of a muscle car sound and is deeper so I don't think this is the choice for me.)

4. Borla (I haven't seen or heard anyone run this setup yet, the construction looks beautiful and it isn't cheap either so it looks to have great potential) Anyone have a Borla? Just from pictures, the construction of the Borla looks to have the most time invested in the design; which impresses me on looks.

5. Fabspeed (Great pricing and they claim good HP gains!) The sound doesn't seem like what I'm aiming for. This setup sounds similar to LOC.

I don't want to lose power, but I really think the sound should be improved over stock. I'm looking for that high pitch whine similar to F1 or sport bikes. Did the Borla do that for you on the Diablo?

Just out of curiosity, how much do they charge for these exhausts?

I have the 'Tubi'. F1 sound at high revs, quiet enough at low revs - sounds fxxxXXX awesome from 3,000rpm, especially in tunnels!!

Default fabspeed cat by-pass and muffler bypass

Maybe a little too loud for some, but this set-up screams Formula 1 at high RPM's. Really loud outside the car but perfect inside. I love it on my 2004 Gallardo!! Got the whole system and cat bypass and labor for less than the Tubi alone. No brainer IMO

I have an 05 with the newer Larini and stock cats and it sounds awesome although I have really only heard it myself from inside the car.... So I say go with the Larini.... or, the LOC, you are not 100% correct on the LOC sound, a bunch of us went out to the dragstrip and there was a Gallardo with a LOC exhaust and it couldn't have sounded more whiney high-pitched F1 sounding... Just sick!!!!!! I don't recall what it sounded like at lower RPM,s but that is a definite front runner as far as exhaust goes, IMO

I ended up getting a Miura Corse which I am extremely happy with! I'll try to post a sound clip up of it! It was the sound I wanted exactly!
