I see the mentality of "the more you drive it the more it costs" but there's another side to that coin....
great point! i plan on taking out my G every friday and saturday when i get it...unless it rains of course.

it would be one thing if i could take it down to the neighborhood carwash...but i don't trust anyone...therefore, driving in the rain = half a day washing the car...which i don't have.

Finally someone who agrees with me. I use to be the guy that never drove it unless the sun was in the right place and the street sweeper had come down the street then I realized we pay for these cars including insurance why let it sit and now rain or shine I will drive it when I want and where I want.

GOOD CALL

I just sold my last 997 Turbo for a 2004 Gallardo and I am thrilled. I had two 07 997 turbos and both of them are now gonzo. One for a Ferrari F430 (2005) and the other...the Gallardo. I am in Utah and now looking for a good mechanic to check the Gallardo out for me. I have already put three hundred miles on it this weekend and I love everything about it. I also got an extended powertrain warranty from my favorite dealer here so I am not concerned. They have done right by me before on warranty work. As for the 997s, they were great cars but the 996 and 997 are a dime a dozen here and I wanted something more special.

Congrats! We just did the samething but mine was a 997S not the turbo! I don't think you can go wrong with any of these cars!

What do you like better, the Gallardo or F430?

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, no one really ever answered the original question. I'd like to know as well because I am considering purchasing a Gallardo. Does anyone who posts in this forum really even own a Gallardo??? Makes me wonder.
