I am in Lake Worth, Fl....The furthest I will be driving would be the smokey mountains in NC, something I will probably do again near Thanksgiving. We have Italiafest at either Moroso or Homestead race track next Jan( or feb), where you can get full out race time on a good race track here in south florida...and I rent the track with a few friends occaisionally...which means some people here could get in as well.

Before buying your Gallardo, have it inspected by a Dealer. If it is an Egear, have an E-Gear report taken and make sure the clutch is well within spec. 7,500 mile maint. costs are within $1,200-$1,500. Clutches when needed are about $5,000. Other than these items, expect to replace the vehicle's battery, rear tires and have the A/C serviced(about $220) within the vehicles first 15k miles as well.

There isn't as high maint. costs associated with Gallardo ownership as people might think. They are proving to be pretty damn reliable requiring fewer trips to the doctor than that of their "black horse" counterparts.
