I'm trying to find information on this, has it been done in a Gallardo yet?
As from what I've seen, the similarities between the Gallardo and the Audi Allroad are staggering. A lot of audi guys like to swap in the euro nav+ unit, which allows for a TV tuner, and gives the ability to watch DVD movies on the screen, among other things, like bluetooth(?). If anyone has information as to the success of this install, please let me know, I'd love to see it! From what I remember, the head units run around $1900-2500ish, depending on exchange rate & availability. You can read more about it at www.nav-plus.com.

I put a Eclipse AVN5435 (US) unit in my Gallardo replacing the radio/CD player. See http://www.lamboweb.com/Repairs_Sect...Navigation.htm
where I have written it up. On that system you cannot run the NAV and DVD at the same time. You can run the NAV and CD's at the same time of course. I think the installation of the more recent Eclipse units would be the same. |

Another thing I'm working on is getting VAG-COM to work with the Lambo's, which will open lots of doors if it works. If it works for example, the RNS-E Nav head units will be almost a direct plug & play application. Additional features could also be programmed.

I spoke with UWE Ross from RossTech about differences between Audi and Lambo. looks like swapping K-Line pin will do the trick. I installed RNS-E on my friends Gallardo but I couldn't get to DIS coding.
Of course you can stob by the dealer and ask him to do it (2 minutes process), but it will be nice to have diagnostic cheaper than Lamborghini LDAS ![]() |

I have tried to get the Ross-Tech VAG-COM system to work with a 05 Gallardo with no success. Even got the K line pin 13 to 7 adaptor. Still no success. I am looking into trying the Page Ranking-Scan software and hardware. It uses the ELM chip which (hopefully) can figure out any protocol on an OBDII socket including the CAN protocol. See http://www.myscantool.com/download for example.
Would be interested in talking to anybody that is trying to understand how the LDAS software/hardware works to see if we could get a cheaper way to access information on our cars for less than $8000 (Lamborghinis price for LDAS). Audi A4,6,8 owners can get all the info they want for ~$100 with the Ross-tech VAG-COM software. |
