Default e gear sport mode Gallardo

Is it true that you can only launch the car in sport mode only 10-times before you have to buy a new clutch? I heard that the 04 gallardo's had problems with the clutch but are the 05's and up ok. also is it better to get the e-gear or 6 speed for having the clutch last longer? I am just not looking to replace the clutch all that much. here is the forum that I read this from http://www.talklambo.com/showthread.php?t=2260

I bought my 2004 Gallardo with 4000 miles on it, back around Christmas time last year...it has about 13,000 on it now...I have raced it on a road racing course, and I drive it hard, all the time. The clutch works the same today as it did the first day I bought it.

I can not imagine anyone buying a Gallardo to be a drag racing machine...there are plenty of lame drag racing machines coming out of detroit...and I see zero driving skills associated with drag racing.

The Gallardo is a road racer for the street--embrace it's strength.

If you want to beat a $20,000 muscle car off the line at the traffic light, every time one challenges you, then the punitive aspects of having to replace the clutch may well be appropriate :-)
Regards,
Dan Volker
