Doesnt matter what you drive as long as you look good! I will stick with my Gallardo!
Yes! I love it! Can't wait till my G arrives. Nothing else looks like a rocket ship from the future.

Default A very valid point.

Just for reference. The M5 and the Gallardo should be somewhat equal from a roll. However, from a dig the Gallardo has a major advantage.

the M5 has 500 horsepower....don't be fooled by it's practical looks! also, who really cares if some car beat another car by a nano-second....does it really matter??

I own a Corvette and have a Diablo on the way. The Corvette will go 0-60 in 4.1 with my mods on it. I don't even care what my Diablo will do 0-60. The Corvette is so far removed from an exotic that the looks I get are not of adornment but of antagonism. So, there is more to a car than what it can do 0-60. At least for me IMHO.

In my opinion you should just drive whatever makes you feel "good" because the day you figure out which car is the fastest is the day you hit a wall at 200+ mph.

Some peoiple like exotics others may argue that something like an M5 has more practicallity. But dont let it come down to 0-60 times, look at handling, quality, and see if what your buying is worth what your paying.

Alcohol Funny Cars will do the 1/4 mile in 3 seconds...you might want to check one out. But just know turning isnt good

Let us not forget that every driver in this forum including the ones who do not even have the license has different perspective in cars. Obviously, most of the members in this forum are enthusiasts or even psychos while some folks think cars are just cars to get you from point a to point b. The performance numbers does not indicate how fast you would be in that particular car. Some test cars can have a midgit with a gallon of gas. That said, you can have a good driver in a gallardo burn a bad driver in lp640. In terms of performance, i do not think 0-60 or 1/4 mile run is eveyrthing. someone can give me a porsche turbo yet i will pick gt3 instead for better handling. to me how the car does on corners is more important, yet there are people out there looking for the fastest 0-60 car. Why not pick up a 99 civic and throw in 20-30k dollars to hit 11 second 1/4 mile car? much cheaper than buying a z06 or a viper. Some people may even consider how balanced the motor is or chassis. Horsepower output isnt everything either. Sure, AMG cars can have 514 hps with 4000lbs. Sure the m5 motor puts out 507hp but it also weights 240kgs. Some people like TL type s but i would take 335i just because it is rear wheel drive and steers more precisely. It is what you want, not what the numbers tell you. Those performance figures are rather deceitful and often work like a double edged sword. I believe those figures and commercial-details are meant to be there often times exaggerated to hide some of the flaws and weaknesses. f vs lambo and AMG vs. M......what do you value the most? Gas mileage? HP? Chassis? Suspension? Sound system? value? torque? hot rod? classics? Egear or six speed? awd or rear wheel? rr or fr?
