You don't sound like you're interested in an exotic. I think you would be more pleased with this...

I think this question has already been answered even before the second post began........

WhY??....well the only perspective your're getting into is how fast the car goes....

In a supercar/exotic car class it's not only "how fast" you're going too sight...
There are alot more than just speed like performance, apeal, appearance,Sound and ofcourse the experience you get out of the car....

Lets put it this way..The new Lambo LP 640 does 0-60mp/h does it in 3.4 sec...
and the Enzo Ferrari does it in 0-60mp/h in 3.3 sec...HOW CAN YOU EVEN ARGUE WITH THAT!!The Enzo is worth $2,000,000+ already mind you...sure the Lp640 is more than what the Murci cost but look at what you're getting compared to the Enzo....1 Second difference infact it is too good to be true..
and aside from that the Enzo looks so Vulgar....it isn't really that nice to look at....8 of 10 people would agree to that....on the other hand The LP640 looks like the new image of super cars..NOT BEING BIAS but thats what critics would say...

Ok to top it all up..
Put in the PROS and CONS of both cars......And you will soon learn to know that the Lamborghini LP640 is ALMOST as fast as an Ezno, It does look alot better than an Ezno, Sound is also more apreciated on the Lambo, Performance (oh God) can't go wrong with the Lambo..Bottom line

undesputed....
LAMBORGHINI, TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN....

btw..why do you think the Lambo has been introduced/made more appearances in films/movies than a Ferrari.....

I dont know the answers to any of the posted questions. All I know is nothing beats the hot blonde in the lane next to me almost rear ending the car in front of her because she was looking at my Lambo.

Doesnt matter what you drive as long as you look good! I will stick with my Gallardo!

We own them because we love Lambos, not because they are .5 seconds faster or slower than the other guys.

look, i don't want anyone to get the impression that i am attacking lamborghini!! how can i? they are my top #1 cars. For god sakes i own a lamborghini coutach lp500s and an old fiat bravo which i use only for small trips. But the truth is, since i was a kid i was always obbsessed with how much a lamborghini can beat a ferrari and i never got over it.

If I had a lamborghini for every time there was a thread like this I'd be ROY!!

I am so sick of the comparisons and videos that everyone keeps finding. 90% of any race comes down to driver. Also remember that magazines can be very bias, we have all seen it before. And in the end who cares which is faster? There is sooooo much more that I guess you just can't see. As JR said either you get it or you don't.

As for you owning the countach......doubtful. If you did you would not be asking these questions.

1. The new BMW M5 has a 500 hp V10 just like the Gallardo and is a big leap forward from the previous generation. It’s not surprising that it has comparable acceleration. Gallardo is a little lighter and has better torque at lower rpm, and much better handling. See the EVO article that compares them: Lamborghini VS. M5 (Evo Article)

"The M5 packs an engine every bit the equal of the Lamborghini's, but even M Power's spectacular fireworks can't disguise the fact that while the Gallardo was born great the M5 has had greatness thrust upon it" (form the Article). The new Gallardo with 519 hp should put a more distance between them.

2. As others have pointed out, don’t take racing videos as your only comparisons for cars; a lot depends on the driver. I think I know the video you are talking about – the Japanese one? The cars look modified to me – a Gallardo doesn’t come with a spoiler like that; who knows what other mods were done to the cars? But there is no denying, the F430 is faster than the 500 hp Gallardo. I haven’t seen a comparison between a F430 coupe and 519 hp Gallardo coupe yet, but I suspect the F430 still has the edge. Year to year comparison’s are fickle, though. Remember when the Gallardo came out it was much faster than the F360… these comparisons can go either way at any given year.

3. Despite Lamborghini’s claims, I think that the 580 hp Murcielago has substantially faster acceleration than the Gallardo. I haven’t driven either one, though, so I can’t say for sure. Other people will correct me if I am wrong. The Murcielago did the ¼ mile in 11.52 seconds and 11.56 seconds at over 123 mph with Auto Italia and Automobilismo in Italy (manual transmission, not F1), and I’ve never seen the Gallardo put up numbers like that.

3. The Murcielago is faster than the F430 in acceleration. F430 is not far behind in the ¼ mile thanks to it’s F1 transmission and (Euro-spec only) launch control system: an incredible 11.7 seconds at 123 mph (MT, R&T, and C&D tested). An F1 F430 without this launch control does about 12.0 seconds (MT). The F430 probably loses much more ground at higher speeds, though – the Lamborghini V12s have always shined in high speed acceleration (it’s exactly the same comparison between a 492 hp Diablo and a 360 Modena). An F430 may be better on a track, but I don’t know. The LP640 puts substantial difference between them.

If anyone has any corrections, please say.

well,i own a G ,before it i had a 360 , and had a 430 for a month. all i can say i will NEVER go back to F cars.. the overall package of the G is much superior to the f430 .. a friend of mine has a f430 , few weeks back on the highway ,i was in front of him ,i floored it ,and up to 200kph where we had to slow down he couldnt pass me.
i think i have seen the video's u r talking about(some japanese drivers) , concerning the run with the f430 and the G ,just look at the launch and you will understand that the G driver drives like sh*t, the f430 took 20meters on the launch..is that fair?
concerning the run with the m5 , dont forget the m5 has 507hp versus 500hp ,and still on both runs (once with m5 ,once with m6) the G was in the front...
what do you expect? the G pulling away by a 100meters?you'll need a veyron for that..

Default Dont loose your time

There are some other open forums for drag enthusiast so if your kind of movie is fast and fureous, your kind of car should be an extreme non street legal modified japanese car, that may be 0.5 secs faster and will last less than that, before you have put it in the trash, if you have the money to buy a lambo, you should have good taste too, if not use your money to buy a mig 29, im not kiding you can get it from the soviet army, and believe me nothing is going to be faster.
