Well, thats a bit deceptive. You want a tender not a charger. A typical tender has a chip so that when the battery drops 10% it kicks in. The Porsche unit works well also, requiring only to crack open a window and plug it into the 12v accessory plug.

Look at Ctec chargers , they are intelligent chargers/maintainers that you can leave on the battery for weeks , its even smaller then a bread box .
