Default 18" front wheels?

I'm picking up my first Gallardo on April 20th.

I would like to autocross the car, but the largest autocross tires that would fit on the front are 18".

I was thinking of getting a set of Kodiak racing wheels made to my specs, but I'm not sure if there will be enough clearance over the brake calipers on 18" wheels.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

thanks

Umm, not to sure, but if they don't clear because of offset, you could just get spacers that poke the wheels outwards more.

On the Gcars and Murcis you have to keep the front to back rolling wheel ratio the exact same... due to the tolerance of the AWD drive system..

There are guys that made the change from Pirelli to Michelin (same tire size numbers, but the od was slightly different due to the brand change) and have gone through clutches prematurely...

Which dealer are you buying from?

I'd be keeping the diameter of the tires the same as stock.

I'm buying it at Lamborghini Toronto.

Unfortuantely in Canada we can't bring US models into the country so are faced with the crazy prices from the 3 Canadian dealers.

the 17" rims would fit better and also improve steering whereas if u have the 18" rims the would not be able to turn as far
(also i would suggest black rims :P)
